No person or entity shall hereafter erect, construct, or place any above ground tank for the storage of flammable liquids.

It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to store an aggregate of greater than 30 gallons of flammable liquids on any property within the city limits that is zoned for residential use.

Any flammable liquid stored within the city limits shall be stored only in containers designed and approved for the storage of flammable liquids. Storage in glass containers of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Any person or entity storing flammable liquids within the city limits on property zoned for commercial or industrial use shall comply with the rules and regulations promulgated by the Kansas State Fire Marshall set forth in Article 7 of the Kansas Administrative Regulations.

Any person found in violation of this article shall be fined in an amount not less than $100 and not more than $1,000.
