A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE EXISTING SOLID WASTE CONTRACT WITH INLAND WASTE SOLUTIONS L.L.C., D.B.A. ORION WASTE SOLUTIONS FOR THE EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION OF RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE IN THE CITY OF MCLOUTH, KANSAS, PROVIDING FOR THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCLOUTH, KANSAS

Section 1: The Mayor is hereby authorized to extend the Residential Solid Waste Service Agreement with Inland Waste Solutions, L.L.C. D.B.A. Orion Waste Solutions, for one three year extension tern of the contract for the collection of residential solid waste in the City of McLouth, in a form to be approved by the Mayor which shall be evidenced by their signatures thereto.

Section 2: The City will automatically institute a 4% annual rate increase payable to contractor each February 1st and any landfill cost increase passed through to the City via the contractor with proper documentation for the remainder of the extension term.

Section 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon execution of the original contract term with Inland Waste Solutions L.L.C., D.B.A. Orion Waste Solutions at midnight December 31, 2022. This Resolution would extend the contract term to midnight December 31, 2025.
