A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MCLOUTH PERTAINING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FOUR-WAY STOPS AT THE INTERSECTION OF LUCY STREET AND GRANITE STREET AND THE INTERSECTION OF LUCY STREET AND OLIVE STREET

WHEREAS, pursuant to KSA 8-2005 and Section 14-201 of the Municipal Code of the City of McLouth, 2012, the Governing Body of the City of McLouth, Kansas, desires to establish four-way stops at the intersection of Lucy Street and Granite Street and intersection of Lucy Street and Olive Street, and fix appropriate traffic control devices each intersection; and,

WHEREAS, having heard public comment and having held deliberations on the matter, the Governing Body deems the establishment of these traffic control devices necessary to guide and warn traffic under the provisions of Section 14 of the Municipal Code of the City of McLouth, 2012, the Standard Traffic Ordinance as adopted, and the laws of the State of Kansas.

BE IT NOW RESOLVED that the Governing Body hereby resolves that:

1.    The intersection of Lucy Street and Granite Street shall be a four-way stop.

2.    The intersection of Lucy Street and Olive Street shall be a four-way stop.

3.    Stop signs shall be fixed at each intersection such that all vehicular traffic will be required to stop before entering the intersection.
