A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MCLOUTH PERTAINING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A THREE-WAY STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF WEST CYNTHIA STREET WITH SOUTH BULLDOG LANE AND S. WESTVIEW ROAD

WHEREAS, pursuant to KSA 8-2005 and Section 14-201 of the Municipal Code of the City of McLouth, 2012, the Governing Body of the City of McLouth. Kansas, desires to establish a three-way stop at the intersection of West Cynthia Street, South Bulldog Lane, and South Westview Road; and

WHEREAS, traffic travelling on South Bulldog Lane and South Westview Road is currently controlled with stop signs at the intersection with West Cynthia Street; and

WHEREAS, having heard public comment and having held deliberations on the matter, the Governing Body deems the establishment of an additional traffic control device necessary to guide and warn traffic under the provisions of Section 14 of the Municipal Code of the City of McLouth, 2012, the Standard Traffic Ordinance as adopted, and the laws of the State of Kansas.

BE IT NOW RESOLVED that the Governing Body hereby resolves that:

1.    The intersection of West Cynthia Street \.with South Bulldog Lane and South Westview Road shall be a three-way stop; and

2.    Stop signs shall remain fixed on South Bulldog Lane and South Westview Road, and an additional stop sign shall be fixed on West Cynthia Street, such that all vehicular traffic will be required to stop before entering the intersection.
